Some guest shifts require flights. This one required a walk of about forty metres.
On 10 December we welcomed Apotheke — Valencia’s original speakeasy, our neighbours at Ciscar 18, and the bar that shows up on basically every “best cocktail bars in Valencia” list ever written. Recognised by Top Cocktail Bars in 2025 and Top 500 Bars in 2022, it’s been collecting badges almost as long as it’s been hiding behind a password.
Behind our counter that night: head bartender Pedro Carrillo the guy responsible for some of the most technical drinks in this city.
Two cocktail bars on the same street could act like rivals. We’d rather drink each other’s cocktails. Same street, different styles — and for one night, both behind the same bar.
Pedro was brilliant, the room was full, and Ciscar quietly made its case as the best cocktail street in Valencia.
