This October, Sips is coming to Gato Negro. If you follow cocktails at all, you already know: crowned the World’s Best Bar in 2023, currently No. 3 on The World’s 50 Best Bars, and Best Bar in Europe three years running. Founded in Barcelona by Simone Caporale and Marc Álvarez, it’s the bar every other bar measures itself against.
For one night, their drinks come to our counter on Carrer de Ciscar 26. The kind of cocktails people fly to Barcelona for — except you just have to make it to Ruzafa.
A word of warning from experience: Drink Kong sold us completely dry an hour before closing. Cooktl and Apotheke packed the room. This one is the biggest name we’ve ever brought in, and we have the same number of seats we’ve always had. Do the math.
